When choosing a material for each product, SWR looks
at the relevant properties of available choices and
selects the best practical material for the intended
use. High purity heavy wall copper is selected for the
transmission line inner connectors because of its excellent
conductivity characteristics. By selecting this material,
we can provide a better product that features low loss
and high thermal conductivity for greater heat dissipation.
An important factor when the objective is to get the
highest quality signal to the antenna.
SWR antennas will stand up to the harshest weather
Mother Nature can provide. Quality control does not
end once material is selected. While we spend a lot
of time checking to make sure the product is made just
right, we also use modern equipment like an automated
flame cutting torch bed and custom seam welder to make
sure the product is made efficiently to keep costs low.
To provide a reliable system, Engineering standards
and tests are a primary concern. SWR designs optimum
performance, stability and reliability in each and every
thing we make.
All new and custom products undergo rigid performance
tests to meet standards that are often more rigorous
than required. Tests are conducted on the most advanced
equipment available today.
Before a new product is constructed, SWR utilizes state-of-the-art
computer modeling to test the performance of an antenna
design. During this design phase, the computer determines
coverage predictions based on the FCC 50/50 curves for
optimum performance.
A proprietary CAD system assures that the new or customized
product is manufactured as accurately and efficiently
as possible. Our design stage not only tests to make
sure an SWR product will provide the best performance
possible, we also test to make sure our products meet
your individual requirements. Just let us know your
specific requirements: desired coverage, terrain conditions
and mechanical limitations-- and we'll provide a product
designed to meet your exacting specifications.
